Faira Royal, RMT

Faira is a registered massage therapist in good standing with the CMTO (College of Massage Therapists of Ontario). She graduated with honours from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH) where she was also voted valedictorian of her graduating class. During her education Faira received quality massage therapy experience including, but not limited to; working with clients in long term care facilities, clients with scoliosis, clients with acquired brain injuries, as well as clients who are athletes. Faira loves being a massage therapist because it allows her to understand the human anatomy and use her knowledge to help the human body and spirit to heal.

Faira strives to create a safe, relaxing and effective experience for each and every one of her clients as she promotes healing using a variety of massage techniques. Myofascial release, facilitated stretching, general swedish massage and proprioceptive techniques are just a few of the techniques Faira implements as she builds individualized and intentional treatment plans for her clients. She hopes to add even more skills and techniques to her collection such as hot stone massage, taping and active release. She also hopes to increase her existing knowledge in the areas of temperomandibular joint (jaw) work, pregnancy massage and myofascial release.

Prior to entering massage therapy, Faira completed her certificate of intercultural studies from Heritage Bible College. She uses this part of her education to understand and navigate cultural differences. It also helped her to grow in her knowledge and faith which gives her daily peace and purpose. Some of Faira‚Äôs favourite things include kayaking, the beach, her wonderful husband and using chopsticks for anything she possibly can. She also enjoys pursuing physical fitness and growing in her knowledge as a massage therapist.

Faira would be delighted to meet with you and discuss how her skills and treatment style could be a beneficial part of your overall health and healing.
